Faye Stewart has been in the motor carrier business for nearly 30 years – as an equipment owner, safety officer, payroll master, warehouse manager, equipment dispatcher, freight solicitor, and now as the owner of her own brokerage. Trucking is the only business in which she has engaged during her working career, outside of a short stint as clerk at a TG & Y store.

Faye began before trucking was deregulated. She worked for Swift Transportation when it began as a small company until it became the giant it now is today. As an employee with Swift, and later with Knight Transportation, Faye became familiar with port, container, warehouse, and rail operations.

Faye has surrounded herself with similarly experienced people. All of her dispatchers, freight solicitors, and salesmen have resumes in this industry similar to hers. Even the five members of Faye’s accounting department, who happen all to be women, each have long associations with the trucking industry, either directly or through their immediate families.
